Foyle Branch Activities & Events 41st BRANCH AGM 14 MAY 2002

Guests included the Deputy Mayor, Mr Peter Anderson, the Chairman of the Northern Ireland MS Society, Mr Victor Haslett & Mrs Sheila Haslett. The Deputy Mayor wished the Branch well in its efforts to secure the appointment of a specialist MS nurse.Victor Haslett congratulated the Branch on the strides made in the last couple of years and regaled members with stories drawn from his extensive repertoire of after-dinner jokes . Branch Officers were grist to his mill and even his wife wasn't spared. Development Officer, Terry McNamee, presented a full report on a busy and successful year and identified areas for future development. True to form, Treasurer, Damian McKenna, convinced all that a surplus was really a deficit but his diligence in managing the financial affairs is recognised and greatly appreciated. The election of incoming officers and committee members was ably conducted by the Patron of the Branch , Mr Paul McFadden. Details are on the Who & Where We Are page. The afternoon concluded with a very enjoyable tuck-in provided by the ladies.

as he gratefully accepts a donation on behalf of the Foyle Branch
of the Society.
WESTERN BOARD AREA MEETING - OMAGH- 31 JANUARY 2002
The meeting, chaired by Terry,
was addressed by N.I. Chairman, Victor Hazlett and by Kieran
Harris who reported on the response of the Society to the ideas
presented at the recent area consultation meetings. A lively
discussion followed.
