UK MS Society Prize winning site with information, research etc. & links to branches in GB
New UK MS Society site for young & newly diagnosedThis new website, launched 23/01/2006, is aimed at young people newly diagnosed with MS. It aims to provide information about living with MS, highlight sources of information and support, and send out the message that life doesn't stop when MS starts. It is hoped it will go some way to helping young people understand the impact this unpredictable and challenging disease might have on their lives. Link added: (31/01/2006)

US National MS Society Another excellent site including on-line access to a video of a major conference in October 2000 which focussed on three main areas - drug treatments/ remylination / environmental triggers. The transcript can also be downloaded and read separately
Federation of MS Societies International Federation of MS Societies - well worth a visit! Includes free online access to bi-annually updated book assessing effectiveness of huge range of treatments - also provides access to huge section on research and advice and discussion on managing symptoms.
Accelerated Cure Project Also known as Boston Cure Project, this non-profit company is dedicated to curing MS by determining its causes. Founded by Art Mellor when diagnosed with MS & his neurologist, Dr Vartanian in 2001, it is now a national company pursuing it's goals in accordance with it's "Cure Map". Link added: 08/02/2006)
PatientsLikeMe PatientsLikeMe is a unique treatment and outcome sharing community for people with life-changing diseases. It was launched in 2006 for ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease) patients and has recently expanded to include Multiple Sclerosis and Parkinson's disease. You can search for a particular treatment or symptom to find out the experience of over 2,300 patients. You can also join (it's free) and add your own treatments and symptoms to the database.
